Madison, United States, October 22, 2026 /NewsNetwork/ -- A Better Body has announced fall bookings for its 90-minute hot stone massage service, designed for individuals experiencing back, neck, and shoulder tension. The treatment combines warm massage stones with personalized massage techniques to help clients relax and address areas of muscle tightness as Wisconsin enters the colder months.

Back discomfort affects a substantial portion of American adults. According to the National Institutes of Health's National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), approximately 80% of adults experience low-back pain at some point in their lives, while research suggests massage therapy may provide short-term relief for certain types of back pain.

A Better Body's hot stone massage uses heated stones directly during massage movements to work on tight muscles. The warmth provides a soothing sensation that can help clients settle into the treatment, particularly when tension has accumulated across the back and shoulders.

The 90-minute appointment provides time for therapists to address individual concerns without rushing through the session. Clients can request attention to specific areas, whether they experience upper-back tightness from desk work, shoulder tension from daily activities, or general muscular fatigue.

Every hot stone massage is customized to the individual. Before treatment, the massage therapist discusses the client's focus areas and preferred pressure, then offers recommendations to shape the session around their comfort and relaxation goals.

This personalized approach is particularly relevant for people who find certain massage pressures uncomfortable or have several areas requiring attention. The combination of warmth and hands-on massage offers a different experience from traditional treatments performed without heated stones.

As fall routines become busier, many individuals spend extended periods sitting, commuting, or managing demanding schedules. A dedicated massage appointment can provide an opportunity to unwind while giving attention to physical tension that may otherwise go unaddressed.

A Better Body's hot stone massage is also suitable for clients whose primary goal is relaxation. Individuals do not need to have a specific area of discomfort to choose the service, and treatment preferences can be discussed directly with the therapist.

Local figure skating competition Halloween Cup goes international

For its second year, recreational figure skating competition SM Skating Halloween Cup, hosted several international participants for the first time, making the local contest into an international meet. “So this is the second year we hosted the Halloween Cup. This year, the difference is it's an international competition. The first year that we hosted it we had over 100 participants, but this year almost 180 participants,” explained Nikki Cheng, president of the Philippine Skating Union. More than 180 figure skaters from the Philippines, Mongolia, Thailand, and the United States, participated in the event, which was held from October 16 to 18 at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Wearing various costumes, from Disney princesses to K-pop idols, the young skaters showcased their skating skills and fun routines. For the first, the competition also joins the Ice Skating Institute Asia (ISIAsia) Championship Series. According to the competition, the event was not just a “thrilling Halloween spectacle” but it “champions SM Active's mission to make sports accessible, nurture young talent, and inspire more Filipinos to embrace an active lifestyle”. “We feel that it is very important for its contribution to grassroots development. We see that the sport is continually growing. In this event we get to discover who are the ones that we would bring into the national developmental [program]. This is a recruitment stage for us,” Nikki shared. Check out the photos from this year's event in the gallery below: Love this content?
