Oct 22, 2026

ESSpa Kozmetika has expanded its organic Hungarian body treatments in Pittsburgh, offering customizable wraps, scrubs and body polishing alongside a full-day destination spa experience.

Pittsburgh, United States, October 22, 2026 /PressCable/ -- ESSpa Kozmetika Organic Day Spa and Skincare Salon has expanded its organic Hungarian body treatments for Pittsburgh guests looking for more than a standard spa appointment. The menu brings together wraps, scrubs and body polishing treatments inspired by Hungarian techniques, with each service tailored to the guest's skin and comfort.

The expansion comes as spending on spa experiences continues to rise. According to the Global Wellness Institute, global spa revenue reached $157.4 billion in 2024, up 14.6% from 2023, while North American spa revenue grew 11.2% to $34.79 billion over the same period.

At ESSpa, the body menu is described as a collection of organic Hungarian body rituals. Options include the Body Polishing Mojito Sugar Scrub, Steaming Cocoa Mojo Body Wrap, Hot Chocolate Body Wrap, Steamy Skin Session and Hungarian Paprika Cellulite Treatment, giving guests a choice of experiences built around exfoliation, hydration and skin care.

The treatments are carried out in private Wrap Rooms equipped with multi-head showers. Guests can have their treatment, shower and change without leaving the room, making the experience more comfortable and private from beginning to end.

Behind the treatments is ESSpa founder Eva Sztupka-Kerschbaumer, a Hungarian Master Esthetician whose work has recently received national recognition. The 2026 Aesthetic Everything Aesthetic and Cosmetic Medicine Awards named her a Top Esthetician, while also recognizing her for Top Destination Day Spa, Top Family Spa, Top Spa Designer and Top Skincare Influencer, among other honors.

Sztupka-Kerschbaumer founded ESSpa in 2002, bringing the skincare knowledge and Hungarian wellness traditions she grew up with to Pittsburgh. Today, guests can come in for a single body treatment or stay for several services, adding massage, customized facials, nail care, hair services or other wellness treatments to their day.

This flexibility is central to ESSpa's destination day spa concept. Instead of moving between different salons or booking treatments on separate days, guests can spend several hours in one place, with friends and family also able to plan a shared spa day. ESSpa is located in Aspinwall, seven miles from Downtown Pittsburgh, and is open seven days a week, including Sundays.

Local figure skating competition Halloween Cup goes international

For its second year, recreational figure skating competition SM Skating Halloween Cup, hosted several international participants for the first time, making the local contest into an international meet. “So this is the second year we hosted the Halloween Cup. This year, the difference is it's an international competition. The first year that we hosted it we had over 100 participants, but this year almost 180 participants,” explained Nikki Cheng, president of the Philippine Skating Union. More than 180 figure skaters from the Philippines, Mongolia, Thailand, and the United States, participated in the event, which was held from October 16 to 18 at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Wearing various costumes, from Disney princesses to K-pop idols, the young skaters showcased their skating skills and fun routines. For the first, the competition also joins the Ice Skating Institute Asia (ISIAsia) Championship Series. According to the competition, the event was not just a “thrilling Halloween spectacle” but it “champions SM Active's mission to make sports accessible, nurture young talent, and inspire more Filipinos to embrace an active lifestyle”. “We feel that it is very important for its contribution to grassroots development. We see that the sport is continually growing. In this event we get to discover who are the ones that we would bring into the national developmental [program]. This is a recruitment stage for us,” Nikki shared. Check out the photos from this year's event in the gallery below: Love this content?
